Respected CMD held scheduled discussion with our Sangam on the following chartered matters. Respected Chief Engineer / Personnel, Respected Board Secretary and other Officials were present during the discussion.

The following are the chartered points for discussion…..
 
1.    Recruitment and Promotions:
 

Filling up of vacant Technical Assistant Posts by Direct Recruitment.
Calling for of particulars for Assistant Engineer / Electrical, Mechanical and Civil promotions by Internal selection.
Calling for of particulars for Junior Engineer / Civil II Grade promotions by Internal selection.
Calling for of particulars for Junior Engineer / Mechanical I Grade promotions.
Consideration of Assistant Engineer promotions by Internal selection and Assistant Engineer re-designation of left out candidates who undergone studies at Periyar Maniammai and Vinayaga Mission Research Foundation Universities.
Implementation of Court orders and awarding of Assistant Engineer re-designation and further promotions for Junior Engineers in Electrical, Mechanical and Civil disciplines who had completed degree in Vinayaga Mission Research Foundation University.
Consideration for Junior Engineer / Electrical II Grade promotions of candidates who completed Diploma through Indira Gandhi National Open University.
Issuing of all pending promotions in the categories of Executive Engineer, Assistant Executive Engineer and Junior Engineer posts in Electrical, Mechanical and Civil disciplines.
 
2.    Sanctioning of New posts and Revival of Abolished posts:
 
Sanctioning of New posts for 400 KV Substations.
Sanctioning of New posts for newly commissioned Substations as per Work Load Settlement.
Sanctioning of New posts for newly formed Sections as per Work Load Settlement.
Revival of the abolished and diverted posts in Construction wing.
Filling up of the vacant Executive Assistant posts in Generating stations which has been kept under suspension.
 
3.    Policy matters for reconsideration:
 
Cancellation of newly implemented transfer policy (3 years / 5 years) for the new recruits and implementation of the earlier transfer policy in existence.
Cancellation of the newly implemented promotion policy (3 years of service) and implementation of earlier promotion policy which was in existence.
 
4.    Matters needing clarity and pending implementation:
 
Sanctioning and awarding of advance increment to M.E. holders as per the rules and norms in existence and dropping of related audit slips.
Sanctioning and awarding of Additional charge allowance for Assistant Executive Engineers and Assistant Engineers / Junior Engineers as per the rules and norms in existence in Generating stations and all other areas and also dropping of related audit slips.
 
5.    Other genuine matters:
 
Operating of request transfers considering the applications of individuals by following the rules and norms in force.
Enhancement of allowances for Hotline team and provisioning of safety and essential amenities.
Action based on anonymous and pseudonymous petitions to be stopped and such petitions ignored altogether.
Prejudiced action by vigilance wing taking administrative powers in their hand to be discouraged and stopped forthwith.

6.    Implementation of pending agreed demands:
 

Awarding of Assistant Executive Engineer / Non Independent posts as done earlier for Junior Engineer / I grade who had completed more than 14 years of service in the same post in Electrical and Mechanical disciplines.
Awarding of Common Designation for Assistant Engineer / Junior Engineer I Grade posts by naming them as Assistant Engineer (G) / Assistant Engineer (D) as per the orders of the labour tribunal and substantiated by the Hon’ble High Court of Chennai.
 

7. Other Matters:

Victimisation of Section Officers alone for accidents.
Setting right the problems of Men and Materials shortage.
Permitting of Works Contract / K2 agreement for maintenance works.
Enhancement of Imprest and Pass Order amount for Engineers.
